Open the search modal
Two ways to open:- Click the Search button in the sidebar.
- Press
⌘Kon macOS orCtrl+Kon Linux and Windows.
Ctrl+K available for kill-to-end-of-line in textareas on Linux and Windows. From the modal’s own input the shortcut closes the modal.
Type to search
Start typing in the input. Results update as you type and show:- The session title, with matched terms highlighted.
- A snippet from the matched message (when Search messages is on).
- The last update time and message count.
- A badge — Title match, Message match, or Title + message — explaining where the hit came from.
Title-only vs. full message search
The footer has a Search messages toggle:| Mode | Default | What it scans |
